Job summary

APAC-AL, Inc., part of CRH’s South Central Division, is a leading supplier of asphalt and construction services in the southeastern U.S., with operations in Alabama. This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of various types of construction equipment.

Must have at least two years experience operating a Loader either on road construction projects or in a quarry and or asphalt plant Operate equipment safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Safe slopes on excavations and proper barricading.
• Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
• Keep time and material records.
• Knowledge of aggregate sizes and classifications.
• Knowledge of weight requirements of loads leaving the pit.
• Travel from interstate highway to rural dirt roads from various locations.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, walk, stoop, squat, sit, kneel.
• Understand and apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, & multiplication).
• Knowledge of basic measurements and how to read a tape measure.
