Job summary

OmniSource is seeking an equipment operator to safely operate multiple material handling machines and perform routine maintenance in a Texas facility. You will assist with loading, sorting scrap, sampling materials, and support inventory updates under supervision.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and flexibility, with opportunities to cross-train on different equipment and contribute to cost efficiencies and stock accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple types of material handling equipment (Dump Truck, Wheel Loader, Skid Steer Loader, Forklift) safely and productively.
• Perform minor maintenance on equipment (change hoses, grease, check fluids).
• Load containers, sort scrap, sample material, and assist with inventory-related tasks as requested by Lead or supervisor.
• Inspect equipment prior to operation, fuel and lubricate daily.
• Assist Lead and Supervisor with inventory upgrades and classification changes to support perpetual inventory goals.
• Cross-train on various equipment types.
• All other duties as requested by Lead and Supervisor.
