Job Responsibilities
- Ensure that bins are kept full and correct material in each to achieve maximum production at the plant.
- Stockpile material that is brought in by trucks.
- Assist in getting the plant repaired and back up and running when it is down, including tasks such as shoveling, belt repairs, and screen changes.
- Act as a team member, contributing to the success of the operation by supporting co-workers and seeking opportunities for mutual success.
- Feed the plant at 400 tph and stockpile materials.
Training Required
- Site Specific Training, including site inspection training
- Loader Task Training
Daily Duties
- Conduct daily equipment inspections:
- Report any safety or mechanical issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Turn in the equipment inspection log daily.
- Perform inspections before using equipment.
- Fuel equipment at the end of each shift.
- Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner:
- Maintain control of the equipment at all times.
- Do not idle equipment when not in use; turn it off.
- Keep the cab clean and maintained.
- Be vigilant of site observations and maintain high-quality feed material:
- Watch for potential site or plant problems within view.
- Be alert to site hazards when feeding from the load face of material.
- Productivity:
- Feed material that provides consistent, high-quality end products under the direction of the leadman and pit supervisor.
- Feed the plant at its maximum potential.
- Safety:
- Adhere to training received and company safety standards.
- Take initiative to fix problems when they arise.
- Empowered to stop the job when unsafe behavior is displayed.
