Job summary

LKQ Corporation is seeking motivated individuals to join our team in North Carolina. The role focuses on safely operating heavy equipment to move salvage vehicles, support dismantling and yard operations, and update the inventory system with vehicle locations using scan guns and tablets.

You will maintain facility grounds, assist with compliance and safety, communicate with management, and help fulfill daily work orders while supporting a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic technology skills to use scanning devices and tablets.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operational inspections to ensure equipment safety.
• Operate wheel loader, car crusher, forklift and other equipment safely.
• Check fluids daily and lubricate equipment per schedule.
• Record equipment hours and location updates in the inventory system.
• Assist with yard operations, material staging, and orderly salvage processes.
• Communicate delays and issues to management promptly.
