Pick Your Part is hiring for a hands-on role in the salvage yard in North Charleston, SC. You will operate heavy equipment, assist with vehicle dismantling, and maintain inventory accuracy while following safety and regulatory requirements.

The position requires 1+ years of heavy equipment experience, basic technology skills, and strong communication. A team-focused, steady performer will thrive in a fast-paced, field-based environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in heavy equipment operations.
• Automotive background preferred.
• Basic technology competence (scan gun, tablet/phone apps).
• Strong written and oral communication.
• Ability to stay calm in a high-pressure fast-paced environment.
• Work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Perform preoperational inspections to ensure equipment safety.
• Operate equipment such as wheel loader, car crusher, forklift and related gear.
• Check fluids daily and report findings to management.
• Prioritize workload to prevent delays in operations.
• Unload cars with forks and stage for inventory; dismantle and cut as needed.
• Assist with safety and regulatory compliance for the yard.
