Job summary

Southland Holdings is seeking a Loader Operator in Austin, TX to operate heavy equipment at highway and civil construction sites, performing grading and material movement. Housing and per diem are provided for operators, with a full benefits package for full-time staff.

Candidates must have DOT experience, 1–3 years of operating experience, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs while complying with safety policies in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• DOT experience required.
• 1–3 years of operating experience.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in varied weather.
• Must follow safety policies and communicate effectively.
• Capable of performing strenuous tasks in harsh conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate Finish Blade, Blade, Roller, and Loader to build/repair sites.
• Grade and move materials like dirt and aggregate.
• Perform daily safety checks and basic maintenance.
• Complete paperwork and documentation as needed.
• Assist with other duties around the jobsite.
