Job summary

SRM Concrete in Hardeeville, SC is seeking a Loader Operator to run front-end loaders and other heavy equipment, loading materials and keeping the plant in motion.

You will work with a crew, perform safety checks, and help count inventory. We offer steady home-daily work, overtime, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience operating loaders or other heavy equipment is preferred but training is provided.
• Ability to perform equipment checks before and after shifts and report issues.

Responsibilities

• Take control of frontend loaders and other heavy equipment to move sand, gravel, and cement to keep plant operations flowing.
• Load and unload trucks, hoppers, bins, and conveyors to ensure materials are available for production.
• Collaborate with crew to keep production on schedule and communicate needs or issues.
• Perform pre-and post-shift equipment checks and report any maintenance needs to ensure safety.
• Follow all safety rules, wear PPE, and maintain a clean, organized work area for safety.
• Assist with inventory counts and help prevent material shortages.
• Share ideas with plant leaders to help improve processes and efficiency.
• Be ready to assist teammates and handle unexpected tasks as needed.

Your Mission & Key Responsibilities

• Take the wheel of powerful front‑end loaders and other heavy equipment to move sand, gravel, and cement around the plant—keeping our concrete flowing and our operations moving.
• Load and unload trucks, hoppers, bins, and conveyors so our team always has the materials they need.
• Work side‑by‑side with your crew and production team to keep things running on schedule.
• Check your equipment before and after each shift, and let the team know if something needs fixing—your safety and theirs comes first.
• Follow all safety rules, wear your gear, and help keep the plant a safe place for everyone.
• Pitch in to keep your work area clean and organized—because a tidy site is a safer site.
• Help count inventory and make sure we never run low on the materials that keep us going.
• Share your ideas with plant leaders and help us get better every day.
• Be ready to lend a hand wherever you’re needed—whether it’s helping a teammate or jumping in on a tough job.

What Sets You Apart

• Experience running loaders or other big machines is great, but if you’re willing to learn and work hard, we’ll train you.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• You care about safety—yours and your team’s—and you’re not afraid to speak up if something’s not right.
• You know how to check your equipment and handle basic fixes.
• You’re a team player who communicates well and shows up ready to work.
• You’re physically able to handle a job that keeps you moving in all kinds of weather.
• High school diploma or equivalent is helpful, but not required.
