Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Loader Operator who will perform maintenance, equipment operation, groundskeeping and housekeeping tasks to maintain rail site facilities managed by regional teams.

You will operate loaders to lift and transport bulk materials, follow Foreman directions, and perform routine maintenance while emphasizing safety and effective communication. This role supports infrastructure projects across North America.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years general related to duties and responsibilities.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to use hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of company processes and procedures.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
• Able to prioritize work.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operates loader to lift and transport bulk materials onto trucks.
• Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns steering wheel to operate loader; moves levers to lower and tilt bucket and drives front-end loader forward to force bucket into bulk material; moves levers to raise and tilt bucket when filled.
• Perform assignments outlined by the Foreman, and standard procedures are followed in the performance of duties; work is inspected periodically for safety and economy in operation.
• Performs routine maintenance on loader, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
• Maintain an effective system of communications with supervisors and customers serviced.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
• Other duties as assigned.
