Air Comfort, Inc in Rosemount, MN is seeking a Loader Operator Assistant to support daily yard operations. You will help move vehicles and parts, keep the yard tidy, and ensure safe access for customers and staff in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.

This role requires lifting up to 75 lbs, good communication, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. Prior forklift experience is a plus, and extensive training will be provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist Loader Operator in moving vehicles and parts throughout yard and between locations.
• Ensure vehicles are positioned safely and accessible for customers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of yard, shop, and shared areas.
• Support vehicle scrapping process; remove cores and gas tanks as needed.
• Loosen, remove and lift vehicle wheels, tires and rims as required.
• Communicate with team members in person and by radio to coordinate tasks.

As a Loader Operator Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting daily operations by assisting with the movement of vehicles and vehicle parts, maintaining yard organization, and ensuring a safe and accessible environment for customers and staff. Responsibilities

• Assist the Loader Operator in moving vehicles and vehicle parts throughout the yard and between the production shop and yard locations
• Ensure vehicles are positioned safely and are accessible for customers
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, shop, and shared work areas
• Support the automobile scrapping process, including removing cores and gas tanks from vehicles and placing components in designated areas
• Loosen, remove, and lift vehicle wheels, tires, and rims as needed
• Communicate effectively with team members in person and by radio to coordinate tasks
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods in a physically demanding role
• Address disputes professionally and contribute to a positive team environment
• Complete additional duties as assigned by the Production Manager

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or similar environment is an asset but not required
• Experience with forklifts is preferred but not required
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and bending
• Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to manage time effectively, multitask, and prioritize requests
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Positive attitude and professional approach when interacting with team members and staff
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally

Compensation / Benefits

• The pay for this position is $21.00 / hour
• Medical, Dental, Vision, & Supplemental coverage: 401k with 4% company contribution after one year
