Job summary

Arcosa Crushed Concrete is seeking a dependable yard/maintenance worker to operate equipment and support plant operations in multiple yards. You will travel between sites and perform loading, stockpiling, and housekeeping tasks with a safety-focused team.

The role requires basic tools competency, punctual attendance, and good communication to coordinate with supervisors. Eligible for weekly payment, benefits, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to and from yards.
• Prompt, regular and predictable attendance Monday through Saturday.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with field supervisor and team.

Responsibilities

• Travel between yards based on operational needs.
• Safely operate rubber tire loader with competency and caution, and adhere to safety procedures and requirements.
• Feed plant, load trucks, stockpile materials, push up stockpiles and maintain clean yard and roadways.
• Communicate on a regular basis with field supervisor regarding assigned work and specific instructions.
• Use hand tools to maintain and repair equipment as needed.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on assigned equipment and report deficiencies.
• Inspect equipment and maintain logs of deficiencies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work site and storage of equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

What You’ll Do

• Travel between yards based on operational needs
• Safely operate rubber tire loader with competency and caution, and adhere to safety procedures and requirements
• Feed plant, load trucks, stockpile materials, pushup stockpiles and maintain clean yard and roadways
• Communicate on regular and continuous basis with field supervisor regarding assigned work to accomplish and specific instructions
• Use hand tools such as wrenches, sockets, screwdriver, sledge hammer, and others as needed to accomplish daily tasks to maintain and/or repair equipment
• Perform scheduled maintenance on assigned equipment (i.e., oil and filter changes, other equipment or motor repairs as necessary); notify supervisor of any deficiencies or repairs needed
• Inspect equipment and maintain written log of all equipment-related deficiencies
• Maintain housekeeping of work site including trash pickup, keeping tools in order; proper storage of equipment at end of workday
• Perform other duties as assigned or required

Working Conditions

• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Reliable transportation required

• Ability to work in dusty, loud noise environment
• Required to wear safety equipment including hard hat, safety glasses, goggles, steel toed boots, ear plugs, respirator, gloves and various other similar items as required
