Job summary

W-L Construction and Paving, a CRH company, seeks a Loader Operator to support asphalt plant operations in Abingdon, VA. You will safely operate a loader, manage materials, and assist with maintenance to keep production on schedule.

Starting pay is $20.00 per hour. The role requires safety focus, reliability, and the ability to work across multiple local plant locations, including overtime and weekend shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a wheel loader to move, stockpile, and load materials for asphalt plant operations.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and routine equipment checks.
• Maintain material inventory and ensure adequate supply of aggregates and materials.
• Assist with daily plant operations to meet production schedules and customer demands.
• Support plant housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs when not actively operating the loader.
• Assist plant personnel with troubleshooting and preventative maintenance as directed.
• Travel between multiple local plant locations as needed by business.
• Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and environmental standards.
• Adhere to MSHA, OSHA, and company safety requirements.
