Position: Loader Operator

As a Loader Operator, your responsibilities include operating and maintaining loaders to load trucks.

Salary Range:

$25.00-$30.00 per hour

Hours:

40+ hours per week

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform daily equipment inspections and site checks to identify and correct unsafe conditions, and keep equipment well-maintained.
2. Safely perform maintenance tasks such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning loaders, maintaining three points of contact at all times during maintenance.
3. Operate loaders safely and properly, ensuring bucket/attachments are lowered when leaving the equipment.
4. Load trucks with the driver in sight, ensuring communication and safety during loading.
5. Load trucks up to the legal hauling weight limit.
6. Identify appropriate materials to meet job specifications and communicate with team members to adjust material blends as needed.
7. Maintain smooth haul roads and contaminate-free aggregate piles.
8. Inspect materials for quality, gradation, oversize rocks, and contaminants.
9. Direct and communicate with truck drivers to ensure safe and efficient site operations, following specific traffic routes.
10. Communicate effectively with team members and handle high-stress situations courteously and respectfully.
11. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to material quality and equipment operation.
12. Ensure compliance with OSHA, MSHA, EPA, DNR, and other safety and environmental regulations.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience in equipment operation and maintenance.
• Valid licenses, medical card, and acceptable driving record.
