Qualifications

Job description

Position: Loader Operator

The Loader Operator will be responsible for moving and loading vehicles with a company-provided front-end loader or forklift. Responsibilities include:

  1. Maintaining documentation of vehicle movement around the facility.
  2. Conducting daily pre and post-trip inspections and associated documentation of their assigned machine.
  3. Maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to company guidelines for safe loader operation.
  4. Facilitating the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customer needs.
  5. Ensuring equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts.
  6. Operating company equipment safely and assisting with the maintenance of company equipment and vehicles.
  7. Recording vehicle information accurately and legibly.
  8. Operating digital camera or other basic vehicle documentation and tracking devices.
  9. Setting up yard for auctions within company timelines.
  10. Providing service to customers as needed and maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
  11. Following yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment (i.e., speed limits, etc.).
  12. Loading and unloading vehicles as required.
  13. Passing training and safety requirements and performing other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience:

  1. HS diploma or GED preferred.
  2. At least two years of work experience, preferably in an outdoor environment.
  3. One year of loader or forklift experience, certification preferred.
  4. Excellent customer service attitude and skills.
  5. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  6. Positive attitude/High Integrity.
  7. Ability to operate heavy equipment.
  8. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Strong attention to detail.
  10. Occasional overtime as needed.
  11. Bilingual skills a plus.
