Role Overview

A Loader Operator performs skilled tasks involving operating heavy equipment to transport bulk materials, load trucks, and perform site work such as building pads and final grading. The role requires versatility and adherence to safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate various types of loader equipment to lift and transport materials.
• Load trucks with construction materials.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Interpret site plans and grade stakes; operate grading lasers.
• Assist with other construction tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Loader Operator, with emphasis on roads, highways, and bridges.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to lift 50-90 pounds regularly; up to 150 pounds with assistance.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, crouch, and work in outdoor conditions.
• Effective communication skills and ability to understand work directions.

Work Environment

Outdoor work in all weather conditions, near heavy machinery, with exposure to noise, dust, and grease. Safety and alertness are essential.
