Job summary

Sazerac is seeking a Loader Operator for Robinson Stave to support daily log yard, stave yard, and dry kiln operations. This hands-on role involves operating wheel loaders and other equipment to move logs and by-products, while coordinating with the Log Procurement Manager to maintain production flow.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, is 18+ years old, and has experience in manufacturing or outdoor work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, or outdoor work.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work safely in a physically demanding environment.
• Two+ years of wheel loader or heavy equipment experience (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate wheel loaders and other equipment to load and unload log trucks, dry kilns, and by-products.
• Support log yard and stave yard operations, including feeding the stave mill and pulling log tags.
• Assist with inventory handling, environmental cleanup activities, and general yard maintenance.
• Partner with log buyers, kiln personnel, and operations teams to support production needs.
• Maintain safe work practices and contribute to an organized, efficient work environment.

Job Description/Responsibilities

Join Robinson Stave as a Loader Operator and play a key role in supporting daily log yard, stave yard, and dry kiln operations. This hands-on position offers the opportunity to operate heavy equipment, manage material flow, and contribute to a safe and efficient manufacturing environment. The Loader Operator works closely with the Log Procurement Manager and helps ensure logs, inventory, and by-products are moved and handled effectively to support production goals.

What You'll Do

• Operate wheel loaders and other equipment to load and unload log trucks, dry kilns, and by-products.
• Support log yard and stave yard operations, including feeding the stave mill and pulling log tags.
• Assist with inventory handling, environmental cleanup activities, and general yard maintenance.
• Partner with log buyers, kiln personnel, and operations teams to support production needs.
• Maintain safe work practices and contribute to an organized, efficient work environment.

Shift/Hours: 1st shift (6am-4:30pm) and2nd Shift (11am-9:30pm) M-Thurs

Qualifications/Requirements

Required

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, or outdoor work environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work safely in a physically demanding environment.

Preferred

• Two or more years of experience operating a wheel loader or other heavy equipment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively work with team members across different departments.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to operate industrial equipment as required.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, bend, kneel, squat, and work outdoors for extended periods.
