Job Description - Loader Operator (25000129)

What You’ll Do:

1. Champion Safety: Prioritize safety for yourself and others, following MSHA and Vulcan standards. Follow traffic patterns, avoid hazards, and report unsafe conditions.
2. Operate Mobile Equipment Loaders: Load aggregates, feed the plant, and safely load customer trucks within legal limits. Prepare the mining site and push material for processing.
3. Monitor Materials: Maintain adequate feed and stockpiles. Inspect materials for compliance with specifications.
4. Perform Inspections and Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, complete reports, and report maintenance needs. Participate in plant housekeeping activities.
5. Monitor Processes and Surroundings: Oversee plant operations and report necessary safety or maintenance issues.

Skills You’ll Need:

• Experience: 2 years operating loaders and dozers preferred.
• Knowledge: Understanding of equipment capabilities, product recognition, OSHA and MSHA regulations, hazard recognition.
• Flexibility: Ability to work overtime, extended hours, outdoors in all weather, and tolerate loud noises.
• Driver’s License: Valid with a clean record.
• Interpersonal Skills: Good communication, teamwork, prompt inquiry response, issue follow-up.
