Job description

Essential Job Functions

1. Provide efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.
2. Follow proper procedures for packaging customer orders and adhere to the company's policies outlined in the bagging manual.
3. Fill bag racks.
4. Unload shopping carts for customers.
5. Assist in keeping shopping carts in their proper place at the front of the store.
6. Assist cashiers in checking out customers efficiently.
7. Retrieve stray carts from the parking lot.
8. Keep work station and surrounding areas neat and clean.
9. Assist in stocking milk and eggs.
10. Assist customers in locating products.
11. Avoid carrying on conversations with other associates while bagging orders.
12. Understand and be able to explain the ValuCard program.
13. Assist in sweeping and mopping all store areas.
14. Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms.
15. Help keep the parking lot and shopping carts free of litter.
16. Work in the parcel pick-up area as directed.
17. Replace misplaced items to their proper locations.
18. Collect trash and bale boxes as needed.
19. Use the intercom properly.
20. Understand shelf tags to assist with price changes.
21. Stock merchandise.
22. Perform additional duties as assigned.
