POSITION SUMMARY:As a Warehouse Loader, you will inspect pallets before loading and load pallets onto correct trucks in the correct location, in an environment where you’ll feel and create a culture of safety and family. You will safely and efficiently load and secure pallets to the appropriate trucks. This includes directing, inspecting pallets, and securing pallets to ensure that our warehouse is providing customers with exceptional service and quality. Together we help our customers make it, but we also believe in helping our warehouse team make it!Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Palletizing products• Operating a pallet jack and forklift.• Using an RF scanner.• Inspecting pallets for quality and sequencing.• Restocking order selection zones as necessary and consolidating merchandise.• Stacking orders securely on a skid according to sequence of delivery route.• Loading pallets in correct positions on correct trucks.• Maintaining orderly workstation; returns supplies and merchandise to assigned locations.• Recording materials and inventory levels.• Contributing to the safety and security of the warehouse environment.• Performing other tasks and duties as assigned• Safely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet• Making sure all pallets are secured with straps, plastic wrap and/or load bars.• Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free• Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wraps palletized orders• Team up to clear aisles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging areaEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements:• HS Diploma or equivalent,• Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.• Must have very strong urgency in meeting objectives and deadlines.• Requires the ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.• Ability to complete tasks under standardized situations with occasional variables.Physical Requirements:• Physical ability to lift, carry, and position: up to 20 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 80 lbs. occasionally.• Must be able to constantly bend, reach above shoulder, grasp objects, climb, kneel, squat, twist and stand throughout shift.• Must be able to push/pull up to 150 lbs. occasionally• Experience operating various Power Walkie an asset.• Ability to work flexible shift hours an asset• 1 to 3 years of related experience, High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)• Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively.• Ability to work reliably from verbal and written instructions.• Ability to apply general math skills.• Intermediate computer knowledge and ability to learn/use computer programs on the job• Ability and willingness to work in freezer or cooler environment for extended periods of time (up to 8hrs)..Work Environment:• Work hours may vary, or change based on department requirements.• The job is primarily performed in a warehouse environment• Regularly exposed to fast moving material handling and other mechanical equipment.• Occasionally exposed to wet and or humid conditions, high and precarious places, vehicle emissions, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions and high voltage electrical equipment.• The noise level in the work environment is typically low.
