Job summary

Carlisle Construction Materials in Acworth, GA is seeking a Loader Team Lead to head the loading department on the 2nd shift. You will ensure schedules are followed, maintain safety standards and execute daily work orders in a timely and productive manner.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of five years forklift experience in manufacturing, preferably Shipping and Receiving.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily department huddles and address schedule concerns.
  • Coordinate with Shipping & Receiving Manager on scheduling.
  • Operate a propane sit-down forklift.
  • Sort shipments and group merchandise for orders.
  • Load finished materials for transport and unload raw materials.
  • Inspect forklift and ensure safety compliance.
  • Verify pallet counts and label accuracy.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for leading the loading department, acting as a point of contact for scheduling and ensuring the department is adhering to safety standards and following daily work orders in a timely, safe and productive manner on 2nd shift at our Acworth, GA location.

Duties and Responsibilities

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Conducts daily huddles with department regarding schedule and maintenance concerns.
  • Confers with Manager, Shipping & Receiving on scheduling concerns. Communicates maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Associate.
  • Operates a propane sit-down forklift.
  • Sort shipments for destination and group merchandise to be included with or fulfilled in an order.
  • Loading of finished materials for transport and unloading of raw materials.
  • Moving of product to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
  • Take product off the production line and store in designated location.
  • Transport raw materials to production workstations.
  • Inspect forklift to determine the need for repairs and to guarantee safety.
  • Verify piece counts on each pallet and compare to label.
  • Material handling of all products.
  • Follow manufacturing work orders.

Education And Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years previous forklift experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Shipping and Receiving.

Working Conditions
  • Fast paced manufacturing environment, loading dock, and driveways. Will be working in all weather conditions.
  • Hours Worked: 40 hours per week – 2nd shift.
  • Days/Week: Monday – Friday 3pm to 11:30pm
