Job summary

Ferrovial is seeking a general construction equipment operator to support Webber projects in the United States. Operates rubber-tired, skid steer or crawler tractors with front-end buckets, loading stockpiles and aiding excavation and batch plants in varied weather.

Qualifications

• Less than a High School Diploma and related construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate machines.
• Signal truck driver to position truck to facilitate loading of dirt, rocks, and other materials.
• Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects.
• May oil, grease, or otherwise service the machine.
• Make necessary adjustment to equipment as needed.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
