Job summary

Siemer Milling Company in West Harrison, IN is seeking a Loader to assist with spotting, loading, inspecting, and moving tractor-trailers, hoppers, dry vans, tankers and railcars. The role offers a starting rate of $20.00 per hour with potential higher wages for prior experience. Overtime is paid after 40 hours per week; Sundays receive double-time pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; reads, writes and performs basic math.
• Excellent customer relations, verbal communication, teamwork and organization.
• Detail-oriented and quality conscious; able to follow written and oral directions.
• Must be able to operate a utility tractor and obtain forklift certification.
• Physical demands include lifting 50 lb bags and climbing stairs/rail cars.

Loader - West Harrison, IN

Responsibilities

Must be able to assist in spotting, loading, inspecting, and moving tractor-trailers as well as transportation hoppers, dry vans, tankers and railcars.

Qualifications

• Individual must excel in: respect, trust, and responsibility, striving for continuous improvement, commitment to excellence.
• Must have High School Diploma or GED, with the ability to read, write and perform mathematics.
• Excellent skills in customer relations, verbal communication, teamwork and organization, along with ability to follow oral and written direction.
• Requires a detail-oriented and quality conscious.
• Must be able to operate a utility tractor.
• Will need to obtain Forklift certification.
• Physical requirements and capabilities include: Moderate arm strength to utilize pressurized air hose in elevated areas, tolerance to withstand extreme temperatures during seasonal weather conditions, frequent climbing of rail cars and trucks and coordination to safely maneuver within the cars, ability to climb stairs and maneuver uneven terrain, and ability to lift 50 lb. bags
• Must be able to work multiple shifts.

Hours

Rotating 8-hour shifts with weekends and overtime as needed.
