Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Load Builder to assemble customer orders from finished products and organize them for shipment. You will work within an industrial laundry environment, supporting delivery schedules and maintaining product flow.

You will review packing requirements, ensure correct products are placed into carts or bins, and meet productivity, quality, and safety standards while reporting any shortages or quality concerns to management.

• Follow written packing instructions and operational procedures.

Description

Classification: Non-exempt

The Load Builder receives finished products from production departments and organizes them into route carts or bins for delivery or storage. You will assemble customer orders for shipment as part of the production and distribution team. The Load-Builder reports to the Production Manager.

You Will:

• Receive finished, cleaned products from production departments and organize them for order assembly.
• Review packing requirements and place correct products into designated route carts, bins, or storage locations.
• Maintain product flow in the load-building area to support delivery schedules.
• Identify and report product shortages, discrepancies, or quality concerns to management.
• Meet established productivity, quality, and safety standards, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Log in and out of Spindle (internal productivity tracking system).

What You Bring:

• Recognize product colors, sizes, and types.

• Follow written packing instructions and operational procedures.

Work Environment and Requirements:

• You will perform physical tasks throughout the work shift. These tasks include standing and walking for extended periods; reach overhead; push and pull carts or bins; grasp and handle textiles; lift up to 25 pounds; and stoop or bend.
• Work in production areas of an industrial laundry facility may include exposure to temperature variations, humidity, odors, lint, and dust.
