Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Indianapolis is seeking a Load Builder to assemble customer orders from finished textiles and organize them for shipment or storage. You will maintain product flow in the load-building area and ensure adherence to packing instructions and safety standards.

Responsibilities include receiving finished goods, sorting into carts or bins, and reporting shortages or quality issues to management. This is a non-exempt, on-site role focused on productivity and PPE compliance.

Classification: Non-exempt
The Load Builder receives finished products from production departments and organizes them into route carts or bins for delivery or storage. You will assemble customer orders for shipment as part of the production and distribution team. The Load-Builder reports to the Production Manager.

You Will

• Receive finished, cleaned products from production departments and organize them for order assembly.
• Review packing requirements and place correct products into designated route carts, bins, or storage locations.
• Maintain product flow in the load-building area to support delivery schedules.
• Identify and report product shortages, discrepancies, or quality concerns to management.
• Meet established productivity, quality, and safety standards, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Log in and out of Spindle (internal productivity tracking system).

What You Bring

• Inspection of finished products to identify quality concerns.
• Follow written packing instructions and operational procedures.

Work Environment And Requirements

• You will perform physical tasks throughout the work shift. These tasks include standing and walking for extended periods; reach overhead; push and pull carts or bins; grasp and handle textiles; lift up to 25 pounds; and stoop or bend.
• Work in production areas of an industrial laundry facility may include exposure to temperature variations, humidity, odors, lint, and dust.
