Job summary

Brunel is seeking a Site Safety Advisor for a major LNG project in Port Arthur, Texas. This contract role focuses on developing, implementing and maintaining environmental, health and safety programs on site, and on supervising company and contractor activities to ensure compliance with federal, state and contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EHS preferred or equivalent in a related field.
• At least 5 years of construction and/or industrial safety experience required.
• 5 years of Environmental and safety program management and construction required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project management and contractor representatives on EHS programs and compliance.
• Monitor contractors for compliance with health and safety regulations and project guidelines.
• Review contractor EHS plans and programs for contract terms and regulatory compliance.
• Identify EHS issues that could impact the project and coordinate with management.
• Perform inspections, incident investigations, and track safety statistics.
• Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and training.
• Interface with regulatory agencies and assist with reports.
• Plan, schedule and lead safety projects; may train others.
• Prepare correspondence and reports for supervisor’s signature.
