Job summary

Elderwood at Burlington offers a paid, comprehensive pathway for individuals who wish to become Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs). This program provides hands‑on exposure and structured training that leads to certification and permanent placement as an LNA.

Support Aides work alongside our clinical team to assist with basic non‑clinical resident care tasks while awaiting entry into the next Nurse Aide Training Program.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at an intermediate or higher level.

Responsibilities

• Transport or accompany residents to dining, activities, therapy, and other locations as assigned.
• Make unoccupied beds and prepare resident rooms.
• Assist in the Dining Room by passing trays, assisting with basic setup, and supporting meal service.
• Distribute supplemental nourishments to residents who do not require feeding assistance.
• Lead simple, informal resident activities when time permits.
• Provide fresh water to resident rooms.
• Assist with preparing residents for bedtime.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident rooms and unit areas.
• Clean resident equipment such as wheelchairs, beds, and geri‑chairs.
• Report unusual resident incidents or observations to supervisory staff.
