Job Summary

3-8hr shifts during the day

Salary Range: $19.47 -$31.09

Summary

Responsible for providing basic nursing care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, mobility, and toileting. Also responsible for obtaining vital signs and specimens, observing and reporting patient information, and providing basic first aid.

Essential Functions
  • Obtain and record vital signs and weights per policy.
  • Provide hands-on patient/client care.
  • Provide grooming and personal care to patients/clients.
  • Feed or assist patients with meals and provide additional nourishment and hydration per the care plan.
  • Collect and bag soiled linen and deliver it to the designated dirty linen area.
  • Assist physicians and/or licensed nurses with treatments and procedures as needed.
  • Provide toileting and incontinence care for patients/clients.
  • Report changes in patients' conditions, as well as patient/family concerns or complaints, to the charge nurse and/or supervisor.

High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Licenses and Credentials

Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers required Nursing Assistant [LNA - New Hampshire] - New Hampshire Board of Nursing required

Experience

Clinical/Medical Office/Managed Care Experience 1-2 years preferred or Nursing Assistant Experience 1 or more years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledgeable in general nursing assistant practices, personal care and basic medical services.
  • Knowledgeable of patient rights, privacy and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrates sensitivity to the needs of patients and employees.
  • Understands and is committed to maintaining highest level of confidentiality and adheres to policies on confidentiality.
  • Good communication skills both written and oral.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.
