Job summary

North Country Healthcare is seeking an LNA Apprentice in New Hampshire to participate in a state-approved nursing assistant training program while performing supervised patient care tasks. You will gain hands-on experience, focusing on dignity, privacy, safety, and learning the responsibilities of a licensed nursing assistant.

Under supervision, you will assist with daily activities, monitor patients, document observations, and develop the competencies required for certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Enrollment in approved Nursing Assistant Training Program.
• Eligibility requirements for the training program.

Responsibilities

• Participates in classroom instruction, laboratory experiences, clinical training, orientation, and competency validation.
• Performs only trained tasks under supervision and within approved scope.
• Assists with personal hygiene, grooming, bathing, dressing, and oral care.
• Supports nutrition and hydration needs, including meal assistance and intake monitoring.
• Assists with elimination needs and continence care under supervision.
• Obtains and reports vital signs and other observations within training scope.
• Assists with ambulation, transfers, and mobility under safety guidelines.
• Reports changes or safety concerns to supervising licensed staff promptly.
