Job summary

North Country Healthcare in New Hampshire is seeking an LNA Apprentice who will participate in a Nursing Assistant Training Program, with supervision from RN/LPN and clinical instructors. You will assist with basic care, communication, and safety while progressing toward NH LNA certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Enrollment and active participation in an approved Nursing Assistant Training Program.
• Must meet all eligibility requirements of the training program.
• CPR/BLS or ACLS/PALS certification required and renewed as specified.

Responsibilities

• Participates in approved Nursing Assistant training activities and competency validation.
• Performs only supervised patient care tasks taught and authorized by the training program.
• Assists with personal hygiene, grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care, and daily living activities.
• Supports nutrition and hydration, including meal assistance and monitoring intake.
• Assists with elimination needs and continence care under supervision.
• Obtains vital signs, weights, intake/output and reports changes promptly.
• Assists with ambulation, transfers, and mobility under safety practices.
• Communicates observations and concerns to supervising licensed staff in a timely manner.
