Job summary

Kingsboro Psychiatric Center in New York is recruiting a Licensed Master Social Worker to serve as a Risk Management Specialist, supporting patient safety and risk reduction across the facility.

Responsibilities include investigating significant incidents, interviewing staff, collecting and analyzing data, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating with OMH and the NYS Justice Center. On-call availability is required on evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Licensed and registered LMSW in NY.
• Experience with incident investigations and risk management.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Investigate significant incidents in accordance with OMH policies.
• Interview staff and gather relevant documentation.
• Coordinate interviews with Justice Center and facility leadership.
• Complete incident reports within 30 days.
• Identify causes and trends to support risk reduction.
• Deliver risk management orientation and training for staff.
• Participate in environmental rounds to identify safety risks.
• Review incident and restraint/seclusion forms in NIMRS.
• Serve as liaison between facility, OMH, Central Office, and NYS Justice Center.
• On-call availability during off-shifts and weekends.
