JOB SUMMARY

Working under the direction and supervision of the Manager of Professional Development and Emergency Preparedness, the Learning Management Administrator is responsible for administration, analysis, maintenance and support functions of the Learning Management System (LMS) as well as applying technical knowledge of software, tools and methods for design, delivery, maintenance and analysis of effective computer-based learning.

Administers a learning management system (LMS). Collaborates with training and development professionals to deliver responsive programs and content to meet the needs of the organization. Performs regular administrative tasks including user support, troubleshooting, and system updates. Loads, configures, tests and maintains learning content. Interfaces with the system vendor to resolve issues, enhance functionality, and deploy new features. Creates learning documentation, aids, and training materials for users. Creates and deploys reporting, onboarding and compliance surveys to track and measure participation in programs. May conduct system training sessions for end-users, instructors, and other administrators. Requires a bachelor's degree.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Maintain LMS database including management of learners, courses, classes, and system configuration.
  • Accurately and efficiently creates new classes and courses as necessary within the LMS utilizing consistent and professional standards, including objectives and other pertinent criteria required to produce meaningful search and reporting capabilities.
  • Responsible for manual input, if required, and reconciliation of all classroom attendance, meetings, and recording outside education and certifications.
  • Collect, analyze, manage, and report data for program improvement and compliance.
  • Provide technical support to staff, travelers, students (Gillette College, CNA, CNA II, MA-C, IV-C), and providers as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and document system issues, submitting support tickets via online ticketing system
  • Create traveler and student accounts, assign education, and monitor compliance.
  • Create and maintain automated rules and associations for various job categories, OSHA categories, specialties in conjunction with job titles and certifications
  • Create and maintain course and curriculum automated rules as appropriate to add efficiency to assignment process.
  • Maintain Master Course Assignment spreadsheet and other education documents.
  • Annual Education (Mandatory Education) planning, course updates, assignment criteria, and compliance reporting.
  • Assist as needed to develop, deliver, and track compliance of Medical Staff Office education.
  • Collaborate as needed on the development and delivery of education for Contractors, Students, and Volunteers.
  • Process new hires, terms, and transfers in accordance with Campbell County Health Personnel Protocol Certification/Education Requirements and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification Policy.
  • Proctor exams as needed.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and author e-learning content, including writing and editing scripts and quizzes, developing graphics and audio to support content, edit and process video content.
  • Manage HSEC facility to include submittal of work orders for repairs/maintenance, key check-out for after-hours access to facility, and stocking office/kitchen supplies.
  • Knowledge of all HSEC audio and visual equipment and ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues during classroom presentations.
  • Provide set-up and support for instructor/presenters during classes and presentations.
  • Coordinates and approves HSEC classroom space, utilizing Outlook calendar.
  • Actively participates in at least two committees including Emergency Preparedness and Emergency Medical Services University.
  • Must be free from governmental sanctions involving health care and/or financial practices.
  • Complies with the hospital’s Corporate Compliance Program including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, laws and regulations, and CCH policies and procedures.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education, Training, Experience:
  • Education: High School graduate with Associates Degree at a minimum or 3 years of experience in an office utilizing advanced computer software skills.
  • Licensure: not required
  • Certifications required: See Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification Policy and Certifications/Education Requirements Policy.
  • Computer experience 3 years, especially working with databases and computer-based instruction,
  • Proficiency in MS Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint with iSpring add-in for SCORM-compliant course creation, Cyberlink Director Pro or equivalent video editing software, Vimeo or equivalent video-hosting software, Bomgar Remote Support Console.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • The ability to maintain continuing education requirements and all certifications and licenses as required (e.g. ACLS, PALS, CPI, CPR).
  • Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Considerable speaking skills required. Able to communicate effectively and coherently with clear English speech, face to face and on telephone. Demonstrates precise hand/eye coordination for precise, delicate manipulations. Walking, inside and out. Ability to operate office machines and AV equipment.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate needs and desires appropriately with coworkers and management. Acts in an unbiased fashion towards others, keeps personal prejudices out of the work place, attempts to understand and respects the attitudes and beliefs of others. Reacts in a positive, constructive manner when confronted with negative situations.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Essential Physical Requirements: Full range of body motion including: pushing, pulling, reaching, balancing, kneeling, stooping, bending, sitting, standing, and walking, and handle equipment and supplies. Must be capable of sitting at desk to perform office duties.
  • Essential Mental Abilities: Simple and complex reading and writing. Memorization, simple and complex math skills. Perception/computation, judgment, reasoning, decision making, analyzing and problem solving. Expected to continually learn new software requirements.
  • Essential Sensory Requirements: Sufficient vision, hearing and speech to perform duties. Clear verbal communication.
  • Exposure to Hazards: OSHA CATEGORYIII – Not expected to have any patient contact. Employees working in healthcare facilities have the potential to be exposed to hazardous materials including: Hazardous Chemicals/Drugs, Waste Anesthetic Gases, Radiation, Latex, Biological Hazards, Respiratory Hazards and Ergonomic Hazards.
