Job description

Job Description: Radiology Tech/Medical Assistant - BHMG Urgent Care Richmond

Sign-on bonus is reserved for new hires meeting eligibility criteria.

Position: PRN

Qualifications: Rad Tech or LMR, experience as a Medical Assistant preferred but training will be provided. Basic Medical Assistant experience or training, Rad Tech license or LMR, BLS certification required. Medical Assistant training preferred. Active AART and KBMIRT certifications. New grads encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist staff and physicians by collecting pertinent patient information to determine physical and psychological needs.
  2. Perform radiographic exams using general equipment.
  3. Function as a member of the healthcare team with responsibilities aligned with training and competencies.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients to assess changes in health status, including medications, and record in EMR.
  5. Maintain efficient patient flow through exam and treatment areas.
  6. Assist physicians, ARNPs, and nurses with patient care, exams, tests, and procedures.
  7. Accurately obtain and record vital signs, reporting abnormal readings.
  8. Perform clerical duties such as assembling patient education information, assisting with nutrition and toileting, scheduling, and obtaining insurance authorizations.
