Job summary

CHE Behavioral Health Services is hiring Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs) to join our clinician-led, APA-approved behavioral health team. Since 1995, CHE has been a national leader in adult and geriatric mental health, serving 100,000+ patients across 800+ facilities in 11+ states.

LMHCs enjoy a flexible schedule (Mon–Fri, 7 AM–7 PM), compensation of $80,000–$100,000 annually with fee-for-service or salaried options, and no nights, weekends, or on-call.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• Active LMHC license required.

Responsibilities

• Review schedule and referrals, monitor residents’ conditions.
• Provide brief therapy sessions and update treatment plans.
• Collaborate with nurses and providers to discuss care needs.
• Document sessions and treatment plans for compliance and billing.
• Engage with family members for follow-ups and scheduling.

What You’ll Do

• Start by reviewing your schedule, checking for new referrals, and noting any changes in residents’ conditions

• Meet with residents throughout the day for brief, focused therapy sessions (support, coping skills, mood, adjustment)

• Complete initial assessments and update treatment plans for new or ongoing resident

• Collaborate with nurses, rehab staff, and providers to discuss care needs and any behavioral concerns

• Document sessions, treatment plans, and required notes to meet compliance and billing standards

• Connect with family members when needed and plan your schedule and follow-ups for the next day
