CITGO Petroleum Corporation, Lemont Refinery, seeks a Mechanical Planner to determine the scope of work, develop detailed plans, schedules, and procure resources for maintenance tasks on rotating equipment. Located on-site in Lemont, IL, the role supports efficient execution and asset reliability.

Expect responsibilities include creating weekly schedules, maintaining CMMS/SAP data, and contributing to the yearly maintenance budget.

Responsabilidades

• Develop detailed job plans with tasks, estimates, crafts, material and tools for maintenance work
• Submit executable work for weekly/daily scheduling
• Create daily and 1–3 week look-ahead schedules with supervisors
• Maintain rotating equipment repair documentation and CMMS records
• Generate requisitions and bid requests for tools, materials and services
• Ensure cost-effective and timely completion of maintenance work
• Close work orders and initiate follow-up as needed
• Support yearly maintenance budget development
• Maintain equipment history and BOMs in SAP
• Backlog management and prioritization with requesting departments

Job Summary

Responsible for determining the scope of work and developing detailed plans for the coordination and execution of maintenance tasks (Routine, Turnaround, Preventive and Projects). The planner will create/define schedules and procure resources (manpower, material, equipment, tools, and supervision) for improved resource utilization and equipment reliability and maintains equipment information and maintenance history. Determine cost of maintenance tasks and obtain approval needed for execution of maintenance work. Mechanical planner is responsible for plans, schedules and materials for all rotating equipment reparis: Pumps, Compressors, Turbines, Fans, Blowers, etc.. Job duties displayed below are not all-inclusive, site-specific responsibilities may be assigned. This position is located on-site at the CITGO Lemont Refinery in Lemont, Illinois.

Expected Salary: $120,000 - $154,000

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related technical field, plus two years of refinery maintenance experience, or
• Associate degree in related technical field, plus four years of refinery maintenance experience, or
• High School diploma or equivalent plus six years of related maintenance experience, in lieu of degree
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Proficient in the use and understanding of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Existing knowledge of, or capability to learn current planning software
• Working knowledge of various craft disciplines and tools
• Knowledge of Rotating Equipment is required
• Understanding the impact of Procurement, Scheduling, and Field Execution processes
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker's Identification Credential (TWIC)

Job Duties

• Develop job plans that consist of detailed tasks and cost estimates for maintenance work (corrective, preventive, predictive, inspection requirements, short outage/unit shutdown, etc.) including number and type of crafts, person-hour estimates, materials, special tools/equipment, specialty contractors and transportation equipment.
• Submit executable work for weekly and daily scheduling. This includes working with requesting departments to review backlog and identify the actual work priorities and scheduling the work to meet those priorities.
• Create the Daily Mechanical Department Schedule with the help of the Mechanical Department Field Supervisors based on the weekly schedule and new higher priority jobs that require breaking into the weekly schedule.
• Create the 1 to 3 week look ahead schedule for the Mechanical Department with the help of Operations and the Mechanical Department Field Supervisors.
• Maintain all rotating equipment repair documentation that is used to develop the MPR input for the Mechanical Department and the Rotating Reliability Department.
• Verify that rotating equipment repair sheets are submitted and filed as directed.
• Generate requisitions and bid requests for special tools, materials, and specialty contractor services required to support the work plan and field execution.
• Assure cost effective and expeditious completion of maintenance work with refinery leadership.
• Assure proper closure of Work Orders/Notifications including documenting, initiating any follow-up Work Orders (particularly Preventive Maintenance/Predictive Maintenance work orders), and review plan vs. actual results.
• Support development of the Yearly Maintenance Spending Budget (Routine, Turnaround, Major Maintenance Projects and Programs).
• Create and maintain equipment history, bills of materials, and task lists within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) SAP.
• Maintain and manage the backlog of work to be planned and work that is executable and review these with the requesting departments on a regular basis to prioritize work.
