Job summary

CCC Intelligent Solutions Inc. in Chicago, IL seeks an AI Engineer to build and ship LLM-powered features and agentic workflows. You will own end-to-end design, implementation, testing, and production operations for claims automation, privacy, and security baked in from day one.

You will work in Python and TypeScript, craft evals and guardrails, extend NLP pipelines, and trace model calls. Join a fast-moving team solving real-world insurance problems with responsible AI and measurable impact.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Shipped and operated at least one LLM-powered feature in production.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript (typed, tested, async).
• Experience designing evals for LLM outputs and guardrails.
• Experience blending LLMs with semantic search and classical NLP.

Responsibilities

• Ship LLM-powered features and agentic workflows from scoped problem to production.
• Write evals and guardrails to ensure trustworthy model output.
• Maintain and extend NLP pipelines turning unstructured data into structured data for customers.
• Design and operate durable, event-driven services with checkpointed steps.
• Trace model calls and outputs for auditability and observability.
