Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. in Chicago is seeking an experienced AI/ML engineer to design and deploy production-grade Agentic AI solutions for automating complex insurance workflows. You will leverage LLMs, RAG, and document intelligence to transform broker and underwriter operations.

You will own the full AI product lifecycle from ideation to deployment, mentor engineers, and build robust evaluation frameworks to ensure reliability and reduce hallucinations in production systems.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, AI/ML, or related domains.
• Strong proficiency in Python with proven experience delivering AI-powered products end to end.
• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, information extraction, and document understanding.
• Solid foundation in cloud platforms, Docker, CI/CD, monitoring, observability, and secure data handling.
• Experience with API design, system design, full-stack development, and knowledge of TypeScript/Angular or .NET/C#.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy production-grade Agentic AI solutions for insurance workflows.
• Build AI-powered applications using LLMs, RAG, document processing, and classification.
• Own end-to-end AI product lifecycle from ideation to deployment and monitoring.
• Develop evaluation frameworks for testing, monitoring, and reducing hallucinations.
• Collaborate with brokers, underwriters, and operations to translate business challenges into scalable AI solutions.
• Mentor engineers and champion modern AI development practices.
