Job summary

Outlier is building a remote, LatAm-focused program that lets experienced software engineers contribute to AI model training by grading and refining code generated by AI systems.

As a QA Coder, you will review AI-generated code, rate model responses on accuracy and style, and craft precise prompts to challenge AI coding capabilities. This 1099 contract role offers flexible work from anywhere and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a selective institution.
• Software engineering experience contributing to a live production codebase ideally for a technology company.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts fluently in written and spoken English.
• Excellent attention to detail, including grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated code and flag errors, inconsistencies, or quality issues using structured guidelines.
• Rate and rank model responses across key dimensions to improve outputs.
• Write clear, well-structured prompts to challenge AI models and push coding capabilities.
