This full-time or PRN role focuses on delivering competent behavioral health services in a corrections environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s level behavioral health clinician with LLCP, LCP, or LMSW eligibility.
• Minimum of one year employment in a social work capacity.
• Licensed by a recognized authority.
• Background check satisfactory.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk assessments of inmates and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Assist in planning and implementing treatment goals for the duration of stay.
• Plan and implement program goals and required projects.
• Prepare and maintain necessary documentation and reports.
• Demonstrate excellent and timely documentation skills.
• Make independent clinical decisions with supervisory support as needed.
• Contribute to positive outcomes for vulnerable populations in crisis.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Behavioral Health Professional will be involved in working with all disciplines on the Behavioral Health Unit to attain effectiveness in serving the patient population.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• The Behavioral Health Professional performs risk assessment of inmates; coordination of care with interdisciplinary team including medical staff, community providers, psychiatric hospitals and corrections; and discharge planning.
• The Behavioral Health Professional assists inmates in planning and implementing treatment goals for the duration of their stay in the Stark County Jail.
• The Behavioral Health Professional assists in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects.
• The Behavioral Health Professional provides the necessary preparation of documentation, necessary records and reports.
• Excellent and timely documentation skills required.
• The ideal candidate is able to make independent clinical decisions, while utilizing assistance and supervisory intervention, as needed.

• Must be a Licensed, Master’s Level Behavioral Health Clinician who can administer assessments, make clinical decisions, provide Mental Health treatment, and hold any of the following licenses: LLCP, LCP, or equivalent

REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, REGISTRATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Graduation from a Master’s level program.
• Minimum of one year employment in a social work capacity in a public or private agency or equivalent.
• Must receive a satisfactory background investigation report.
