Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a Master’s level Behavioral Health Professional at Warren County Jail in Lebanon, OH, to work full-time on the Behavioral Health Unit. The role involves collaborating with medical, mental health, and corrections teams to provide high-quality care to inmates in a challenging environment.

You’ll perform risk assessments, develop discharge plans, and deliver brief clinical interventions such as CBT and Motivational Interviewing.

Qualifications

• Master’s level Behavioral Health Professional license in Ohio (LSW or LPC).
• Minimum of one year employment in a social work capacity in a public or private agency or equivalent.
• Must pass a satisfactory background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk assessment of inmates and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Discharge planning and necessary documentation preparation.
• Provide brief clinical interventions including CBT and Motivational Interviewing and maintain timely records.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL POSITION SUMMARY

The Behavioral Health Professional will be involved in working with all disciplines on the Behavioral Health Unit to attain effectiveness in serving the patient population in a correctional environment.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must be a Licensed Master's Level Behavioral Health Professional in Ohio with any of the following licenses- , LSW, or LPC.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• The Behavioral Health Professional performs risk assessment of inmates; coordination of care with interdisciplinary team including medical staff, community providers, psychiatric hospitals and corrections; and discharge planning.The Behavioral Health Professionalassists in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects.The Behavioral Health Professionalprovides the necessary preparation of documentation, necessary records and reports.This is a fast‑paced work environment that utilizes clinical skills such as prioritizing treatment needs; crisis management; brief clinical interventions including CBT and Motivational Interviewing. Excellent and timely documentation skills required. The ideal candidate is able to make independent clinical decisions, while utilizing assistance and supervisory intervention, as needed.

Graduation from a Master’s level program.

Minimum of one year employment in a social work capacity in a public or private agency or equivalent.
