Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a Master’s Level Behavioral Health Clinician (LLCP, LCP, LMSW or equivalent) for the Battle Creek, MI jail location. This full-time/PRN role involves risk assessment, discharge planning, and collaborative care with multidisciplinary teams to support inmates’ mental health needs.

You will document thoroughly, make clinical decisions with supervisory support, and contribute to programs that promote safe, respectful care.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed, Master’s Level Behavioral Health Clinician who can administer assessments, make clinical decisions, provide mental health treatment, and hold LLCP, LCP, or LMSW certification or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of employment in a social work capacity in a public or private agency or equivalent.
• Graduation from a Master’s level program.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk assessment of inmates and coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team including medical staff, community providers and corrections; discharge planning.
• Assist inmates in planning and implementing treatment goals for the duration of their stay.
• Assist in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects.
• Provide thorough preparation of documentation, records and reports.
• Maintain excellent and timely documentation; able to make independent clinical decisions with supervisory support as needed.
• Contribute to a positive work environment and help the team deliver quality services.

LLCP, LCP, LMSW POSITION SUMMARY

The Behavioral Health Professional will be involved in working with all disciplines on the Behavioral Health Unit to attain effectiveness in serving the patient population.

LLCP, LCP, LMSW E SSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• The Behavioral Health Professional performs risk assessment of inmates; coordination of care with interdisciplinary team including medical staff, community providers, psychiatric hospitals and corrections; and discharge planning.
• The Behavioral Health Professional assists inmates in planning and implementing treatment goals for the duration of their stay in the Stark County Jail.
• The Behavioral Health Professional assists in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects.
• The Behavioral Health Professional provides the necessary preparation of documentation, necessary records and reports.
• Excellent and timely documentation skills required. The ideal candidate is able to make independent clinical decisions, while utilizing assistance and supervisory intervention, as needed.

LLCP, LCP, LMSW MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Must be a Licensed, Master’s Level Behavioral Health Clinician who can administer assessments, make clinical decisions, provide Mental Health treatment, and hold any of the following licenses: LLCP, LCP, or equivalent

• Every other weeekend
• 2p-10p

LLCP, LCP, LMSW REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, REGISTRATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Graduation from a Master’s level program.
• Minimum of one year employment in a social work capacity in a public or private agency or equivalent.
• Must receive a satisfactory background investigation report.
