Job summary

Elsewhere Entertainment is seeking an Associate Animation Director, Living World to shape the animation vision for a new IP. You will lead cross-functional teams to deliver living-world systems, ambient interactions, and authored vignettes from concept through polish, aligning teams around a shared creative vision.

You’ll mentor animators, ensure high-quality, authentic worlds, and collaborate with Design, Engineering, Art, Audio, and Narrative to maximize player immersion and storytelling

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in game animation with leadership on AAA titles.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and influence creative direction.
• Understanding of how animation, gameplay systems, narrative, and audio integrate to create immersive worlds.
• Experience directing or developing systemic content like ambient behaviors or living-world features.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the animation vision for living-world systems and ambient behaviors.
• Lead cross-functional teams from concept through implementation to polished living-world experiences.
• Mentor animators and animation leads to foster collaboration and growth.
• Collaborate with Design, Engineering, Art, Audio, and Narrative to enhance gameplay and immersion.
