Job summary

Select Sires, Inc. is seeking a Livestock Technician for our Plain City, Ohio facility. This hourly, non-exempt role reports to the Production Supervisor and starts at $19.00+ per hour.

The position supports daily operations by collecting semen, caring for bulls, and maintaining safety and cleanliness in work areas. It offers a Monday–Friday schedule with varying start times and potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent verbal communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and lift heavy objects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collect semen using established safety protocols.
• Handle bulls to stimulate semen collection.
• Operate company vehicles, trucks, trailers, and farm equipment.
• Perform general livestock care: feeding, cleaning, moving bulls/steers.
• Conduct health testing and veterinary treatments.
• Hoof trimming when required.
