Job summary

Independencefamilyanimalcare is seeking staff to follow farm management directions, learn sow and gilt production, and complete daily production tasks in a controlled environment. The role emphasizes safety, bio-security, and adherence to standard operating procedures on a busy livestock facility.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED preferred; no experience required, with 1+ years livestock experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• No experience required; 1+ years livestock experience with HS diploma preferred.
• Training: My Pipestone New Hire Courses (Introduction, Animal Welfare, Employee Handbook, PQA, Safety, Additional Position Related My Pipestone Assigned)

Responsibilities

• Follow production protocols to maximize sow and gilt production and efficiencies.
• Communicate effectively with area employees and farm management.
• Complete production paperwork accurately and on time.
• Adhere to bio-security protocols and address deficiencies.
• Observe safety procedures and ensure equipment is used properly.
• Monitor ventilation and maintain a clean, organized gestation area.
• Perform routine facility maintenance and report non-routine repairs.
