Job summary

Livestock Nutrition Center is seeking a Sales Consultant to design customized feeding programs and provide expert consultative support to customers in the field. You will manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing and follow-up, while building lasting relationships and expanding the customer base in your marketing area.

The role requires collaboration with nutritionists, marketing and ingredient teams, plus prospective travel to client operations and industry events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science or related field.
• A minimum of 3 years industry experience following the completion of an undergraduate degree.
• A basic understanding of Agricultural Business and customer & market dynamics through experience or education.
• A willingness to travel and work within a team environment.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Fully understand LNC’s offerings, selling points and industry information to converse knowledgeably with ranching operations.
• Develop qualified leads through referrals, canvassing, cold calling, direct mail and networking.
• Maintain Salesforce CRM records of all sales and prospecting activities and manage sales pipeline in designated territory.
• Utilize Salesforce CPQ to track opportunities and prepare consultative quotes.
• Close sales and contribute to customer satisfaction, revenue and long-term account goals.
• Collaborate with Location Managers and follow operations protocols.
• Assist in implementation of marketing strategies and collection of Accounts Receivable insights.
