The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services seeks an Agriculture and Consumer Protection Inspector to enforce animal health regulations and protect Florida’s agricultural industry. The role requires field inspections, sample collection, quarantines, and education of livestock owners.

Incumbents must be able to deploy for emergencies, work weekends or holidays when needed, and travel across assigned counties. This is an internal agency opportunity for current state employees.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Class E Driver License required.
• Experience with livestock care preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Enforce state animal health rules and conduct inspections.
• Perform livestock inspections at markets, shows, and exhibitions.
• Collect samples, issue quarantines, and educate owners on biosecurity.
• Prepare daily activity reports and manage inventory of supplies.
