Responsibilities

• Feeding, watering, herding, castrating, branding, weighing, catching, and loading animals.
• Examining animals to detect diseases and injuries.
• Assisting in births and administering medications or vaccines.
• Herding animals to pastures, scales, or enclosures.
• Hauling feed and moving equipment between locations.
• Maintaining housing and fences; cleaning and repairing pens.
• Using farm equipment such as tractors and trucks.
