Job summary

Clemson University seeks an Assistant Extension Agent (EXS) in Saluda, SC to join the Livestock and Forages County Team. The role collaborates with county and state staff to plan, implement, and evaluate Extension education programs for adults and youth within designated coverage areas.

A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree is preferred. This full-time regular FTE position offers opportunities to develop programming, partnerships, and external funding.

Responsibilities

• Deliver educational programming in Livestock and Forages to adults and youth.
• Educate via direct methods (classes, meetings, tours, demonstrations) and indirect content; document programming impacts.
• Seek grants, contracts, gifts and funding to support programming.
• Collaborate with Extension Advisory Councils, Advocacy Committees and local officials on planning.
• Support county office operations and respond to public inquiries.
• Identify opportunities for self-improvement and professional development.
