Job summary

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT seeks a hands-on Farm/Livestock Assistant for a diversified hog, cattle and row-crop operation in Illinois. This role blends livestock care with equipment operation and regular farm maintenance. You will assist with hog chores, feed preparation, and cattle tasks, while operating GPS-guided machinery during planting and harvest.

A company vehicle is provided for on-farm duties. Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Strong willingness to work with livestock, hogs and cattle.
• Daily hog chores including feeding, loading, vaccinating, and barn care.
• Equipment operation experience with tractors, loaders, basic farm machinery.
• Mechanical ability for maintenance and repairs on equipment.
• Willingness to obtain CDL; truck driving helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily hog chores across barns.
• Support cattle tasks as part of rotation.
• Prepare and deliver feed using on-farm systems.
• Operate late-model equipment with GPS during planting and harvest.
• Perform general repairs and maintenance on barns and equipment.
• Occasionally operate a semi or pickup for feed/livestock; weekend rotations.
