Job summary

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT Nebraska is seeking a dependable Farm & Livestock Assistant for a diversified operation in Nebraska. The role centers on hay production, livestock care, and general farm duties across large acres and finishing hogs.

You will operate tractors and equipment, assist with planting and harvest, monitor livestock, and help with routine maintenance. Housing may be available in a long-term, stable setting.

Qualifications

• Previous farm and livestock experience preferred.
• Hay production and livestock care experience desirable.
• Experience operating modern agricultural equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude and maintenance experience preferred.
• CDL or ability to obtain CDL beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hay production, including mowing, raking, baling, hauling, stacking, and storage.
• Participate in four annual alfalfa hay cuttings across approximately 1,700 acres.
• Operate tractors, loaders, trucks, hay equipment, and other agricultural machinery.
• Assist with corn and soybean production activities including planting and harvest.
• Help monitor and care for finishing hogs, including routine livestock observations and facility checks.
