Job summary

The Department of Pathology at WVU School of Medicine seeks an academic pathologist with subspecialty expertise in liver transplant pathology, GI/hepatobiliary pathology, and/or transplant pathology. The open-rank faculty member will practice in Morgantown, WV, joining a collegial, subspecialized academic pathology team serving a large health system.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or foreign equivalent degree and eligibility for medical licensure in West Virginia.
• Completed an accredited pathology residency program and fellowship training in GI/hepatobiliary pathology, transplant pathology, or related.
• Board certified or board eligible in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic sign-out within a subspecialized practice model with emphasis on liver transplant pathology and related GI/hepatobiliary/transplant pathology.
• Active involvement in education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Contribute to the department's academic mission through teaching, clinical service, collaboration, and scholarly work.
