Job summary

WVU Medicine in Morgantown, WV is seeking a hepatologist to join a growing academic program. The role includes outpatient hepatology, endoscopy, and inpatient consults, with opportunities to contribute to teaching and program development.

The ideal candidate will have an MD/DO, be eligible for the state license, and possess board eligibility or certification in gastroenterology and transplant hepatology. Collaboration across a robust GI/ hepatology service line is expected.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree, eligible for state medical license.
• Completed internal medicine residency, gastroenterology and transplant hepatology fellowships.
• Board-eligible or board-certified in gastroenterology and transplant hepatology.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient hepatology clinic, general endoscopy, and inpatient consult service.
• Participate in scheduled expansion of the hepatology inpatient consult service.
• Teach medical students, residents and fellows.
• GI fellowship program includes 12 fellows (4 per year).
